ACTION NARRATIVE TAPE 02-24, SIDE A Number 001 CHAIRMAN JOHN COWDERY called the Senate Transportation Committee meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. Senators Taylor, Wilken and Chairman Cowdery were present. Chairman Cowdery announced the committee would take up HB 175, HB 507 and HB 528. CSHB 175(2d FIN)-APPROP: POWER PROJECTS BONDS SENATOR TAYLOR moved CSHB 175(2d FIN) from committee with individual recommendations. CHAIRMAN COWDERY noted that no one wished to testify and hearing no objection, the motion carried. CSHB 528(FIN)-STATE REIMBURSEMENT CAPITAL PROJECT DEBTS SENATOR TAYLOR moved to adopt a proposed committee substitute, labeled Cook 22-LS1742\R, (Version R) as the working document before the committee. CHAIRMAN COWDERY noted without objection, the motion carried. SENATOR TAYLOR moved SCS CSHB 528(TRA) from committee (Version R) with individual recommendations. SENATOR WILKEN asked if the next committee of referral is the Senate Finance Committee. CHAIRMAN COWDERY said it is. He then noted without objection, SCS CSHB 528(TRA) moved from committee. HB 507am-NAMING TRANSPORTATION FACILITIES & AREAS SENATOR TAYLOR moved to adopt a proposed committee substitute, labeled Utermohle 22-LS1601\L, (Version L) as the working document before the committee. CHAIRMAN COWDERY announced that hearing no objections, the motion carried. SENATOR TAYLOR explained that Version L contains some additional sections, that being the Mail Carrier Emil Wegner Memorial Corridor, the Wendy Cogdell Memorial Rest Area, and the Katelyn Ohmer Markley Bridge. He asked members to note that the original bill contained the Officer Justin Todd Wollam Memorial Bike Trail. He then moved SCS HB 507(TRA), Version L, from committee with individual recommendations. CHAIRMAN COWDERY announced that without objection, SCS HB 507(TRA) moved from committee. With no further business to come before the committee, he adjourned the meeting at 7:36 p.m.
